At the Falkenhof estate, the farm-to-table principle is the foundation of a cuisine that is closely tied to the region. Fresh ingredients, short transport distances, and seasonal produce ensure authentic flavors and the highest quality. Most of the fruits, vegetables, and herbs used come from the estate’s own garden, supplemented by carefully selected produce from farmers and producers in the surrounding villages.

Homemade Specialties
The culinary offerings also include select handmade products from Manufaktur Dianna. Fruity jams, aromatic syrups, and soothing herbal teas are made using traditional methods, bringing the region’s natural flavors to your breakfast table or teacup. Using high-quality ingredients and a great deal of craftsmanship, these specialties offer a unique way to experience the flavors of Transylvania.
Traditional Székely Cuisine
The cuisine at Gut Falkenhof is based on the traditional recipes of the Székely people, an ethnic group with a long culinary history in Transylvania. With great attention to detail, we prepare time-honored dishes that have been an integral part of the region’s culinary culture for generations. Whether savory specialties or sweet delicacies—every dish tells a story about the history and culture of this unique region.
Lavender from Our Own Farm
A special project close to the heart of Gut Falkenhof is our own lavender cultivation. On an area of approximately 7,000 m² in Cristuru Secuiesc, just about 10 kilometers from the estate, around 10,000 lavender plants are growing. The lavender not only characterizes the landscape with its scent and blooms, but is also used in various products made on the estate.
