Sighisoara (24 km)
Sighișoara, known as Schäßburg in German and Segesvár in Hungarian, is located in the heart of Transylvania, Romania. The city is about 120 kilometers from Brașov, roughly 100 kilometers from Sibiu, and approximately 55 kilometers from Târgu Mureș.
Schäßburg is one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Europe. With its historic old town, ancient city walls, and distinctive towers, it still exudes the special charm of centuries past. Due to its exceptional cultural value, the old town was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1999.
Târgu Mures (76 km)
Târgu Mureș is located in central-northern Romania in the Transylvania region and impresses with its historic cityscape, which is characterized by numerous buildings from past centuries. The city stretches along the banks of the Mureș River and, with the “Weekend” recreation area, offers a popular leisure facility featuring several swimming pools and a lake for boat rides. Bezid (20 km)
Bezid is best known for the Bezidul Nou reservoir, beneath which lie the remains of a former village. The church rising out of the water serves as a reminder of this eventful history and makes the town an extraordinary destination for a day trip.
“The Heart of Jesus” (42 km)
High above the Transylvanian landscape, on Gordon Mountain, stands the 22-meter-tall statue of Christ known as “The Heart of Jesus.” It is one of the largest statues of Jesus in Eastern Europe and rewards visitors with a breathtaking panoramic view.

Gut Falkenhof: Access / Nearby Airports
Despite its very quiet location in the midst of unspoiled nature, Gut Falkenhof is easily accessible. The E60 European route from Kronstadt / Brasov to Targu Mures (via Schässburg / Sighisoara) is approximately 14 km away. The Targu Mures International Airport is about 75 km away, while the Sibiu International Airport, like the Brasov (Ghimbav) International Airport, is about 125 km away. You can also travel to and from Sighisoara by train (night trains to Austria and Germany depart from this station). Upon request and for a small fee, we’d be happy to pick you up from the train station upon your arrival and/or take you back to the station after your stay.
